Call for Applications: Sustainable Energy Accelerator (SEA) Program 2025

The Sustainable Energy Accelerator (SEA) is an innovation program by AIIDEV Africa designed to promote sustainable energy solutions and support entrepreneurship within the energy sector. The primary goal of the SEA is to catalyze the development and deployment of sustainable energy solutions throughout Africa, fostering economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and addressing pressing energy challenges across Africa.
The SEA is structured as an intensive accelerator program that provides selected participants with a supportive environment to advance their energy solutions. The program will last for four months and includes a series of advanced workshops, case study development, innovation research, boot camps, and mentorship sessions. These activities offer participants intensive support and guidance to enhance their knowledge, skills, and leadership capabilities, enabling them to drive positive change in Africa’s energy sector.
The Sustainable Energy Accelerator welcomes a diverse range of projects and startups focused on sustainable energy solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, renewable energy generation and distribution systems, energy-efficient technologies for buildings, industries, and transportation, energy storage and management solutions, clean cooking technologies, smart grid and energy management systems, digital and IoT-enabled energy solutions, and sustainable transportation and mobility.
NB: Selected applicants will be onboarded and enrolled in the programme by February 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:
To participate in this programme, please note the following criteria before proceeding with your application:
- Applicants must be from a Sub-Saharan African country and between the ages of 21 and 40.
- Applicants must have a genuine interest and passion for renewable energy and the green economy and a desire to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development in Africa.
- SEA applicants should demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their respective communities.
- You must be ready to commit at least 5 hours weekly and available to actively participate in the programme.
- Applicants must have access to a reliable internet connection, data, and necessary technology devices to fully participate in virtual activities and meetings.
